PMT IS MORE THAN JUST A MUSICAL THEATRE SHOW, IT’S AN EXPERIENCE!
Premier Musical Theatre is specifically designed to guide artists of all ages, thru performing arts training. Our directors teach the fundamentals of acting, singing, and dancing during the 4 Month program while providing students with personal experiences and insight about the professional industry. Each student will also receive a complimentary professional head shot to be used professionally
We currently have one location in Thousand Oaks, CA. The program is split into two groups: our Junior Company (ages 5 – 8) and our Senior Company (ages 9 – 18). The Junior Company has rehearsals for an hour and forty five minutes, one day a week excluding holidays. They rehearse and perform a short showcase that is about ten – twenty minutes long in full costume and makeup. The Senior Company rehearses for four hours, once a week and performs the full production. Our rehearsal process and productions challenge each group and provide the appropriate levels of acting, singing, and dancing for each company.

I love the performing arts, today as a patron but for many years as a performer. Needless to say I was thrilled when my 13-year old daughter showed an interest in theater. Although I grew up in an era where Theater Arts was part of my school curriculum today classes in the performing arts are almost impossible to find.
Premier Musical Theater fills that void in a wonderful way.
My teenager now has three PMT productions under her belt and with each show her confidence and love of the boards grows. But PMT is more than just a place where they “put on a show.” The producer, director, choreographer, voice coach and the rest of the PMT staff are professionals in the arts who are wonderfully dedicated to both teach the craft while at the same time get the most out of each performer no matter the age.
Here’s the best part; my 10-year old son was home when some of the kids came over to read lines. Timmy was talked into reading the parts of performers who weren’t there. He did so well and had so much fun he’s joining his sister in the next production.
I’m still amazed at how once-a-week rehearsals can produce such terrific productions so the time commitment on my part is very manageable.
If you have a young person you want to introduce to theater I highly recommend Premier Musical Theater.
PS: Each production my daughter was in had an adult or two in the show who also wanted to give theater a try. PMT is a great place to test your wings.
Sara, Lewis, Michelle and the rest of the crew and cast are absolutely amazing! I can’t wait to see their current production Annie Jr in December 2013!
